Title: Organic olive farming
Post by cazzac on Mar 26th, 2017 at 7:21pm
Hello,

We have a 1.5 Hectares Finca about 4km north of Tortosa that has mainly olive trees and some carob. We have not used chemicals for 3 years now and want to make the finca organic. However due to no weeding taking place last year due to the bad harvest we have some pretty hefty weeds appearing. Can anyone give us advice on how to keeps the weeds at bay without the use of chemicals and/or recommend a good strimmer.

We would also consider for someone to care for the land and trees and take the harvest. If that would appeal to anybody who knows organic olive farming, please get in touch.

Also, we know there are subsidies on the land that the old farmer still gets and wanted to find out how to get these swapped into our name.

Any advice would be appreciated.
