Title: Re: Cats poisoned in Parellades

We are still trying to find out who and why.   There is a theory from a Spanish neighbour who has dogs and is very much an 'animal' person - that it might have been someone known for anti social behaviour.

We found a blood stained sheet - (blood spatter matching a warfarin type of poison where blood comes out of nose and mouth) - where the cat that slept with our neighbour's little dog used to spend some time.   (It's a type of brick kennel that Colin made more cat friendly and secure).

After a meeting of the pozo on 5th August, a couple of the men 'confirmed' that is what happened, then slightly retracted saying they know people here that are capable of it, but they don't know who did it.

It is confirmed that at least 6 cats suddenly 'disappeared' from the 'bottom' area of Col. Parellades - some of whom were extremely timid and would not have gone up to anyone.

I found a headline in google regarding the Madrid area  - 'Envenenar gatos (y cualquier animal) es un delito penal castigado con cárcel
César-Javier Palacios 08 de Diciembre de 2016'

I have been trying to stress that a person who poisons animals will very likely ultimately poison a child - and then it will be too late.  ( If semi feral cats are inconvenient, so would a neighbours 'screaming' child) - but it is not generally taken seriously.

No bodies have been found, but there is an overgrown  baranc at the side of Parellades ....
