Title: Clever security camera app

If you have any old smartphones lying around then you can turn them into security cameras.
Look for 'Albert' on the playstore.
The app uses the phones camera and alerts you if it sees movement and sends you a video clip. If you are blessed with broadband then it's very quick and even reminds you to switch it on and off when you leave and enter your local wifi range. You can listen and talk back too.
i have two inside the house and one in a transparent fronted plastic box outside.
They are much easier to set up and use than all the IP cameras I have tried and work from wherever you are without special setup or router configurations. Just links by a gmail address and that's it.
If you need a phone then I have a couple of Motorola G3 phones spare (I bought a bunch!). They have damaged SIM holders so not much as phones but they have fantastic 13Mpixel cameras. €50 each.
