Title: Swimming Pool Cover
Post by briand6868 on Mar 14th, 2018 at 6:03pm
What do people use as a pool cover when the pool is not in use for long periods. We have a 3.5mtr overground pool and have tried plastic/rubber type covers - rip or perish in the sun, wooden sheets cut to size supported on metal beams to prevent sagging - metal rust spots and plywood starting to rot after 1 years use. I'm considering the corrugated roof sheets - won't rot,sag or perish. Has anyone come up with a good solution. I would love to get some sort of metal/non rusting " lid" with sides on that will slip over the top of the pool and can be roped/chained down to stop the wind taking it. All ideas welcome :) Thanks.

I've been using a medium weight green tarpaulin from Bauhaus. It has served 4 winters now and shows no significant deterioration.
