Title: LOOKING TO MOVE TO TORTOSA
Post by David2 on Aug 1st, 2019 at 10:07am
hi,
We have been many times and love Tortosa.
New to forum...looking to move to Tortosa with my partner.
Looking at different ways to make a living.
We are looking at the possibility of property rental.
What running cost of rentals (apart from maintenance)
Such as income taxes.
And what people’s expectations are when they rent.
Fully furnished, with cutlery or is it bare bones and they provide everything else?
Any help would be greatly appreciated  :) :)

In Tortosa itself property rental (long term) starts from around 320 euros a month.

The owner has to pay the council tax (IBI) and depending on the rental contract the rest of the costs (Rubbish collection, insurance, community charge etc.) could be the tenant or the owner. Water and electric are paid by the tenant.

Some are rented fully furnished, some without, some partly furnished - you decide what you want.

Agents will generally charge 10% to manage the property.

Income tax on property rental income after expenses is 19%

I know of some properties with tenants that the owners are looking to sell if you just want to buy into a ready made deal.

Hope this helps,

Nigel

Many thanks Nigel,
Yvonne my partner is going to be in Tortosa this week looking at different types of property.
Hopefully we find a type that we can start to make the move there.
Thanks again,
