Where you are? Maps

If like us you find it difficult to give directions to your home, i.e. you are rural, I have found a great site to help.

http://www.uk.map24.com/

You can zoom in and out, and then print a map of your road, street or dirt track, and amazingly nearly all of them are named when you zoom in.

Print off the area you live in, and next time you need a delivery or invite friends around, you can give them the map. Brilliant if your spanish or Catalan is not very good and you cannot explain the directions.

It even gives the direction of the flow of traffic for one way streets if you zoom in enough, plus major buildings, handy for driving around Tortosa.

Mm, can`t find my house.!!!!

If you want detail then order the 1:50000 range from the map shop in Upton on Severn, UK

http://www.themapshop.co.uk/spain.

catalunya series.

Baix Ebre, Montsia or Terra Alta,  covers the area.
These maps show every dirt track, unmade road  etc.

Great  to have in the car when you are stuck in the middle of knowhere.

Down load Google earth. Some areas have been highly defined.I can see my van on the drive here in Cheshire and you can see the boats and landing stages in Mora, you can even count the olive trees......Stangle though Tortosa isn't well defined but the bridges are visible and you can see cars on the motorway.
