A previous client of mine actually used this company and thought the fees were reasonable, but i now have a client in the Phillipines who intends to buy a property without even seeing it. He has negotiated with this company and thinks their prices are a little extortionate.
So if any one else knows of an English speaking Lawyer i would be very interested to know their details.

We have negotiated a fixed price contract which we are very happy with, bearing in mind how long negotiations/permissions have taken for our property!

We have used Ton Batlle when we purchased our property. He charges a flat fee of Euros 1,500 and we think he did a good job. The going rate for solicitors is apparently 150 Euros per hour. Depending on whether there is a lot of work to do or not, Ton may work out cheaper, especially if someone from abroad has not even seen the property he wants to purchase....

Bearing in mind how complicated our purchase could have been without the correct advice and the fact that we will be investing a significant proportion of our life savings into our property, 1,500 Euros seems a very reasonable sum to pay.
