Has anybody changed the ownership/deeds/escritura of a property once bought  ?

I need to know roughly how much the alteration costs

Eeeeekk ... well..... from what I've been told (but it MAY be wrong...) you effectively need to go through the whole notary process again - including paying the 7% 'stamp duty' - so it's very expensive.

I hope this is wrong but I have heard it from more than one source...

I've heard something very similar.You are technically selling and buying it again.I don't know the tax implications but what would happen if you 'sold' it to your other party at a reduced price...???bearing in mind also that it was probably purchased far below market price due to the 'black' economy Wink
