Hi

We need to be able to get post from the U.K etc, in the Tortosa area. Can any one tell me if there
is a place where we can hire a post office box, to be able to pick up our letters in the local area.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike.

not sure how much it is to hire a post box in the post office...but our village (Bitem) as I would guess in most villages has an "English" box......where all the mail from England ends up if there is no post box in your address...you just need the code of the village "Correos", and then you just call and ask for the box and sort through for anything with your name on it!!  (or indeed of your neighbour if you feel generous enough to drop it off for them!!).  This service is free. Hi Mike:  You just need to put:  Mr M. .....................
                                             Name of house/finca/cami
                                             Bitem 43510
                                             Tarragona
                                             Spain

Doesn't matter much if you dont put a name of cami etc....it only lands in a big plastic box...so as long as you recognise your name on it when you go to pick it up, thats it.

Dont forget the post office is only open between 8.30 - 9.30 Monday to Saturday mornings...you have to be up bright and early..!! the queue is awful at the moment...new post lady!!

They will accept small packages etc..but only "post deleivered"...not DFS etc I think.
Remember to take your passport for parcels, as you have to sign for them though.

Hope this helps

Liz
