Just found this site - it may well be helpful to others out there. It tells you all the allowances, capital gains figures etc.

Am I right in thinking then that the UK tax allowance is higher than the Spanish one?  Maybe I should pay tax on my pension in England then!
A very confused.......Eddie Undecided

Get used to it.The UK government and the opposition parties are trying to score points of each other with yet another Tax,an increase in an'EVEN  GREENER TAX'on airline travel. This is an INCREASE on the airport tax, remember, the one that was bought in last month or so.Mr Easy and Mr Ryan will be going ballistic, not to mention the flying public.Apparantly it is to encourage us to use more 'public transport',whatever that is......

We (and lots of others) use a guy at Jesus, his name is Joan. His office is on the triangle by the lights where you turn off the main road.  He speaks "fair" English, and he is a nice guy...he did our change over of English/Spanish number plates, and we though him not expensive.
