Can any one tell me what the siutuation is for
lighting a bonfire in the Campo.

You need to go to your local Adjuntament and request a 'Permisso de foc' (fire licence). These are free.  They record the poligono and parcela of your finca (so take these with you) and may tell you that you can only have fires up to a certain date (probably some time next year now).

Just remember it is illegal to have a foc on Sundays all year round  Wink
