Late on Saturday night one of our neighbours came round with a big bag of wild boar ribs fresh from the days hunt. They are currently sitting in the fridge waiting the outcome of the mandatory meat analysis (something they take very seriously). Then if they test OK, I think some chinese style braised and barbequed ribs are in order.

Also, we met the first hunter on our land on Saturday. A old boy with a shotgun and three dogs. He was a Tortosan and did not know the land was being used (an understandable mistake). He was extremely apologetic about trespassing and quite worried we might get heavy with him. Anyway, after dicussing the lack of game around and lots of handshakes, he was on his way in his micro car.

The analysis report was good and they were yummy.

Garlic, ginger, soy sauce, ketchup and chinese five spice mix. Marinade, braise in the forn and then quickly barbeque to crisp them up.
