Changes to Spanish language by Academia Espanola

You'll be interested to learn of some changes to the Spanish language as promulgated today by the Real Academia Espanola, the august body that oversees the correct use of the spoken and written language of Spain.

Because of the enormous numbers of foreigners setting up home in Spain and bringing enormous wealth to the economy, the Academia Espanola has decided, in exchange, to make easier the complexities of three main problem areas by making radical changes to the language with immediate effect:
1.      the words PARA and POR will be changed to the one word – PORA

2.      the verbs SER and ESTAR will be changed to SESTAR which will be a regular 'AR' verb

3.      the singular and plural definite articles ( EL, LA,  LOS,  LAS ) will all become EL  .  This, they have admitted, may give rise to some resistance from feminist groups but the Academia is adamant in its decision.

This should make life a lot easier so there's added incentive for us all to learn Castellano.
