van hire needed

Can anybody help me. I am looking to hire a van for 1 week to go to France and can't seem to find any, does anyone know of any companies in the area

Solmar and Europecar hire vans at Barcelona airport and also from Tortosa.
But for some unknown reason they charge double the hire rate of what a van hire should be ?

Car prices at Reus airport are a lot cheaper than the cartel around here,it may be worth a phone call to the hire desks to see if they can get vans.

We normally recommend www.goldcar.es because they are cheaper than any of the other car companies at Reus airport, and this sort of information is usually useful to other members!

They will send a courtesy bus/car to collect you and take you a very short journey to their offices, I'm sure they have vans as well, but if they dont, there is a very helpful east European or Russian lady who speaks very good English, and I'm sure she will be able to recommend somewhere for you.

BUT

I dont think they advertise on here therefore this recommendation will probably get deleted.

PM me for other USEFUL forums who actually allow ex-pats to find good services like this one.

Bear in mind,if you can get a hire van there could probably be a large premium if it is going out of the country,this must be declared on the paperwork otherwise the insurance could be invalid.

Do you have a vested interest in promoting the hire company you have named, as most of  the major car rental companies offer cars at substantially lower price than the company you recommend ?

The only interest I have with this company is that it saved both myself and many of my clients a lot of money on car hire..............................do you have a problem with that?

I just looked on Goldcar.es Ford Ka 1 week 70 Euros
                       Hertz    15 Euros per day and only if your a student
                       Europcar 65 Euros for a WEEKEND

So whats your problem, I said I wasn't sure about if they hired out vans, but you can ask, they speak English

I know exactly what you mean, there's just no helping some people, seems that this forum has lost a lot of good people who used to post informative information useful to everyone, but the sarcastic side kicks spoil it for everyone!

We dont actually do rentals, but what town is your house in, because we get asked all the time.
