It seems that the days of Saturday banking are limited in Spain as the banks look to make more savings. Reports indicate that from October Santander could be the first large player to close on Saturdays, but the measure is also said to be under consideration by the Popular, BBVA and Banesto, given the current recession and increased use of online banking.
