Now thats the best bit of news i have heard in a long while!!

In a former life I had something to do with this company before and during its launch.  It is headed by a very ambitous individual with a very strong and experienced back-room staff.  I have always thought, without evidence,  that Ryanair and Easyjet are operating a cartel, in that they don't tread on each others toes  (lawyers- I may be wrong!) but Jet2 will never align itself with a competitor.  We might expect to hear from them if the MAN-REU profit centre is successful.   OH I DO HOPE SO - Ryanair's business model runs against all logic but it works for them!

We have family flying into Girona with Jet2 from Leeds on 4th November, arriving around 6pm I think. Can anyone help me as to whether they can get down by train to Tortosa or L'Aldea  from Barcelona Girona. ? At the moment specialist are saying Alan may still be in hospital for possibly a month and I dont fancy driving up all that way.

Hello again, Assuming it is the Ryanair flight arriving 1825.
Assuming only carry on luggage - no waiting for suitcases
Best bet is to take taxi to Girona railway station.
Catch the 1917 train to Barcelona Sants arr 2031
Go up to concourse and purchase ticket to Tortosa (from media distancia counter)
Back down to catch 2103 train to Tortosa arr 2316 (or get off at Aldea a bit earlier)
There is also a direct bus Girona airport to Barcelona north bus station (Sagales is the bus co)
However, it requires a journey on the Barcelona Metro from the bus station to Sants
