Ryanair disabled assistance.

I know there are a lot of Ryanair fans on here (and if Easyjet don't get their Barcelona departures sorted I might be joining them).  Has anyone had occasion to call on their diabled assistance service.  If so, please let me know how you rate it.
Thanks,
Bigyin

Hi

Have not used it myself, but a friend was staying with us last year, and had a broken leg.

He travelled back to the U.K. using them from Reus. No problems at all. They must be told though just after booking. They reserve a front seat for you and your travelling companion(s).

They embark you last, and you leave the plane last as well. He had problems at Luton though, as after being taken through passport control he was just abandoned in baggage reclaim. Not Ryanair’s fault – it was the airports. No extra costs and cut out a lot of ques and stress. They did not ask for any documentation or type of disability.

Hope this helps

We use Ryanair's disabled assistance whenever we go back to the UK and have had no problems at all.  It is especially useful at Reus if the wheelchair factility is booked as there is always a long distance between the plane and the terminal.  It is now possible to book all the assistance on line after rather than ring their customer service centre.

What exactly is the "Problem with Easyjet departures from Barcelona ?
They now have their own nice new terminal open, allthough I agree it is a long way from the Gate for the plane.

When they used to use Terminal A I always parked in the "bike sheds" at the extreme western end of the airport and it was only a couple of hundred meters max to the check in desk and then a short walk to the M boarding gates.
The last time I did a pickup, I again parked in the bike sheds and was surprised to find that Terminal A was empty and the passenger had had a long walk to where I eventually found her in Terminal B.
Now being aware that some changes were going on, I checked on the Easyjet website before delivering my passenger for departure and found that departures are now going from C and arrivals at B.
I looked on Google Earth to look at the layout of the carparks and decided that rather than turn right for A as per normal, I'd go straight on through the entrance to the most easterly car park.  This turned out to be opposite B and it was a pretty long walk down to C.  Having checked in, we were told that the boarding gate was one of the M's at the far end of A.  I had to leave the passenger at C as that's where the security check in is.
When I got back home, I looked on the ICC website and measured the distance from C to M at exactly 1Km.  When I contacted the passenger in UK, it turns out that on arrival at the M gate, they were ushered onto a bus and taken to guess where to board the aircraft ?  Yes, terminal C.  You couldn't make it up !!
This was on 10th of this month by the way.

Just trying to park at Barcelona.

Easyjet operate to Valencia (equi-distant from Tortosa as well as cheaper) and parking is cheaper and easier.

If I must fly Easyjet then it is always from and to Valencia rather than Barcelona.
