Yes please, does anybody know a laundry somewhere in the Tortosa region? With only a small solar panel, we can't use a washing machine!
Thanks!!

I was using it until quite recently until I found out it was a car wash. But at least my underwear is nicely polished.  Grin
Actually I use a Thomson twin tub which only uses 160 watts, so it can be used off a small genny or a small inverter. But you do have to use hot water to fill it, but mine is solar heated anyway, so no problem

There are a couple of places in or around the streets used by the market in Tortosa (on Mondays).  We've only used them for big items but I dare say the will do your smalls!  Having said that they are not like in the UK - banks of machines where you DIY - you hand over your pants and come back the next day if you can stand the shame!  Grin

I've just done a search in Paginas Amarillas (which is hopeless at best) and it looks like they're not an item here.  Not teaching you to suck eggs but if you look at cactus jack's suggestion, a cold water wash works fine with a suitable detergent.

Thanks Nigel, the make is Paris 800A (bought here 3years ago). I was enquiring for a friend she tells me that it has run on a gennie OK but now struggles to get thro the cycle and has stopped spinning altogether. Perhaps you could call her on 675091947 thanks.

Don't know if this is of use to anyone...

Brand new twin tub machines (No Heating element - so hand fill) which will work on 650 - 750 watt gennies direct from the facytory in the UK. They ship worldwide. These are similar to the old hoover/hotpoint machines which makes them ideal for those with water shortages or no mains water.

I have one and they are great! A bit more work than an automatic but so economical on water.
