HI. The only beach I can think of that is dog friendly and little use for bathing is near El Porello.
Go down the 340 to the second El Porello turning back over the 340 and head towards El Molar Garden centre, just over the motorway bridge turn left and youll come to a tunnel, the other side is a pebble beach.
Havent been for years but it was very quite then and ideal for dogs.
Terry.

Les Olles, about 1 k from L'Ampolla is dog friendly. Basically you go into the town, head right along the seafront ( ie. by car ) keep going until the road turns into a dirt track and park at the end where the track terminates. The locals all walk their dogs here and it is great for swimming too. There is a shop/cafe and a seafood restaurant and you can visit Bassa De Les Olles lagoon which is just behind the restaurant and small play area.  There are some nice flat walks and it is also popular with cyclists. Have a great time if you go!

Personally I cannot think of anything more revolting than walking or swimming, on a beach that has been fouled by a dog and it's inconsiderate owner !
Allthough my Spanish neighbour allways used to squat down behind his shed wall, for his daily crap.

Totally agree fatphil but must admit not all dog owners are inconsiderate.
And at least your neighbour did it behind his shed wall.....could of been worse Grin

some of us are not inconsiderate owners though, some of us carry bags to clean up with after the dogs deposit on the beach.  There always seems to be more crap left by people on the beach than by dogs.. Sooo all you dog owners enjoy walking with your doggies on the beach, I know I do Kiss

Personally I would not take a dog onto any beach in Spain.  We did so several years ago and whilst having a run around she must had disturbed a sandfly as a few weeks later a random check at the vets highlighted that she had leischmania.  Now has to have regular blood checks and will be on pills for the rest of her life.  The beach was the only place we could think of as to where she could have been bitten, and she was wearing one of those expensive Excalibur collars !!

Unfortunately they don't have to go to the beach to get the dreaded leichsmania, I know a few dogs with it that have never been to the beach , they can get it inland as well. The sand flies are all over this region. It is a bit of a lottery i'm afraid.

Thanks for all of your replies folks, we are considerate and don't crap on the beaches, we usually wait until we get home for the comfort of the loo, the dogs however will crap whenever they are ready so a bag to scoop up the poop and bins provided for this will save you from sitting on the gloop and looking like a fruitloop covered in dog poop!
