parking ticket

My husband got a parking ticket today for parking on the edge of the kirb. No problems with that and it was paid within the hour, however I get the idea that because it was left on his car he must advise the name of the driver to someone? anyone had a similar experience.

hi are you saying your husband wasnt the driver at the time?as its his car he is responsible for paying the fine our car got a ticket for parking in tortosa up a side st and it was our son who was driving it and did the parking .i dont think it makes any difference who was driving as its the car that got the ticket.

The reason I was asking was that when I had a ticket for parking once after paying it I rec a letter asking who was driving which I replied to after a while I rec another fine for not replying, seems they didn't get it, all in all it cost me about 150E. I foolishly didn't reg the letter so couldn't proove anything.

ps. the car is reg to me and he was the driver at the time but was absent when the tckt was given
