What is the maximum distance from Satelite dish to receiver before any loss of picture quality etc.

Probably 30m of wf100 cable. You could get 40m with even better cable but thats pushing it a bit.

I was told that 50metres of cable was the ideal maximum length. After that signal
Degradation is supposed to become more of a problem. Quality of cable can make a difference too. I am sure Nigel will comment on this. If you're diying he isn't technically losing a customer : )
I am a DIYer but even I have had to call Nigel in for satt alignment. I was very happy with the results.

I have paced the 'required' distance and it is exactly about 25 metres nearly,so should be OK
