Does anybody know what birds are being sighted recently in the Ebro area (apart from the obvious one's i.e. blue tit because its cold!!) I have guest coming over next week who are keen bird watchers & photographers would be really grateful for any advise.

This should help:

Never forget... a bird in your hand is worth two in your bush... or something.

Nobby thats a rare picture of the "Windsor Blue tit" (becomes a "Red tit" in summer,as shown in the picture!) and tezza follow these links which may be of use to your guests. NB Oct 2009 sightings should give them a guide as to what may be around now & Rare birds in Spain site records any unusual birds in our area,as and when spotted.

I like ths sound of 'Rare Birds in Spain'
What rare birds would they be exactly ? - Pendulous Tits may be as its still a little too warm for blue tits.

Tezza, next time you should maybe use the term 'Raptor' instead of bird. That way you would avoid all the obvious ( yawn ) references to tits and actually get the information you need! Saying that I loved the 'photo of Babs!!
