You could try your local hunting society.  The guys in our village bagged 20 the weekend before last.  Make sure it has been tested for trichinosis first.

Hav'nt a clue where to find the hunting society. So I if I cant find  a joint of wild boar, I would settle for a nice big bit of roasting beef. Where can I find that?? Master Mac seem to have gone out of business.

why cant't you just go to a traditional butcher ( carniceria ) and ask if they can source either boar or beef? I'm sure they will try to get what you want.

You could ask at your local adjuntament, most villages and towns around here have a hunting society.

As for beef, that's a tricky one.  As you may have noticed beef cattle aren't raised around here so usually it is either imported from northern Spain or Argentina .  As Almendra said, try asking at your local carnisseria or even a friendly local restaurant if you have enjoyed their beef.

Think Mastermac used this firm themselves.
Have bought fresh beef joint from them before.
Have managed to get 2 or 3 smaller joints from one large piece.
Really nice!

I havn't checked the price list, but we paid around 25 euros,
for the last big joint of beef, a few months ago.  We then had enough to make 3 small joints, and were able to freeze 2. So didn't think that too expensive and they were really tasty.
Made a lovely change to pork and chicken!
