I don´t know of any regular controls at this water point.Although at present,i do know that the big plastic pipe which links it to the water source is leaking quite heavily outside the Panxampla restaurant,this may be why it has been turned off? perhaps pre-empting some future repair?
They do sometimes turn it off,if the older locals kick off, as they do not like seeing the font continuously being used for the filling of large quantities of plastic containers.All householders linked officially to the various water sources in the Reguers area are required to pay a yearly water rate and they feel the Font is being somewhat abused by non locals. (Their feelings,not necessarily mine)
