	Went along today to our doctor's to make an appointment for the better ? half.� The nice receptionist (not like an English one) told me that I could now make my own appointments through the internet and called me behind her desk to show me how.� So for those of you who have a Cat Salut card here is how. Go� into www.gencat.cat/ics/usuaris/visites.htm then on the list pick� 'programacio de visites', click on continue and then enter your Cat Salut number. Definitely will save a great deal of time for us involved in going to the doctor of our choice,

	It's a great idea, and great when it works. But tonight, the site is down, so I will have to try to make an appointment tomorrow morning?

	Just tried this for the first time. Although it at first rejected my health car number I just reloaded the page and it worked fine. Saves a long trip down to the surgery.

	Making online appointments with doctors has been the norm in Barcelona for several years, glad they have finally got their act together down here now.

	About 4 weeks ago my doctor at ferreries told me to make an appointment for now. Went home and made one for 12 noon today. Have just been down and the doctor asked me what time my appointment was as he could not find me on his list. At reception they told ne it was for 10.30 on Thursday. this is the 3rd time this has happened without anyone informing me. A complete waste of my time as I have to travel in from Alfara. I told the chap on the desk I had made it on the internet and he told me not to use it. What is the point of having this system (with posters in the waiting area advertising it) if it is going to be abused ?

	Sorry to hear that you have had problems. As yet, we have not experienced any problems, after booking appointments on line.

	We have decided that before we waste our time in the future that we are going to check on the website that the appointment still stands before going down into Tortosa .� I may be wrong but I have the feeling that some racial discrimination might be taking place if they need a slot and they see a foreign name.� Or am I just being paranoidn ?

	I've made two appointments online in the last year for my doctor in L'Ametlla and haven't had any problems so far.

	Tony, Do you print off the appointment details, from computer? Then you have it there to show them, in black & white. Plus it's a reminder for you aswell.

	Yes, we have printed off the appointments but it doesn't mean anything to them.� One time we even had the appointment written in the nurse's handwriting and she could not understand why we were early for our appointment by 2 hours until we showed her.� Seems to me that they will move an appointment come what may if they wish to.� Espeically Miss Missouri (misery) who kept insisting we should be attending the doctor's at Alfara until I told her that it was our right to attend whichever doctor we chose.� Then she shut up.

	Tony, Seems to me that perhaps Miss Missouri may be changing the appointments you make online.You perhaps are then not notified & you will then always miss or come too early for them! OR YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SPECSAVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
