It's an installation in the house, not a dongle.  There is also the option of having a telephone service with it, again on a non-contract basis.

Hi we bought a dongle for our laptop in Carrefour - it was 29 euros I think. It costs one euro per day - we have found lit very good! We tried Orange but it was 3.50 per day!

It is carrefour's own but we have discovered it rides on the back of Orange!

You only pay for one day at a time and the top up lasts 3 months. You top it up like a mobile phone. It's perfect for us and for those who are only out for a week or two at a time. Your time runs from midnight to midnight.

There is a Carrefour in Amposta and one in Tarragona. We got ours in Tarragona at the mobile phone desk. We don't have great reception so we haven't tried Skype- its great for emails and browsing the Internet though.

Hi I have just been given a dongle on the Vodafone pay as you go contract from a friend at work, anyone use vodafone dongles in the area if so what,s signal strength like ? he has just today got a new one from the car phone warehouse for £19.00 and this included £15.00 in credit !!!! and I was always under the illusion that that it would far too expensive for me to go down this route Cheesy

Here's an alternative. I use an HTC mobile phone with a Simyo SIM card. This gives me my phone calls at a really cheap rate and 650Gig of data each month. You just have to use €7 a month on calls. There are other options available. The HTC phone acts as a wireless router so we can all use our laptops at the same time. If the signal is strong, and it usually is then we get about 2Mb speed which is lower broadband speeds. It's great if you travel around and want internet anywhere.
See http://Simyo.es
