12v pump

Hi. Anyone know if i can use a transformer from my house(24v solar) to run my 12v water pump, and where can i get one.

I bought one to use a 12v fridge in my 24v lorry from Maplins.
  

Nostalgia is not what it used to be...

Hi, yes i did the same with my truck in uk, but i want to use my pump from my 240v house supply. My pump is 4amps and I have tried useing a 3.5amp transformer off a printer, but it's not big enough.

Just run one cable from one end of the battery chain and the other cable from half way down the chain and you'll have 12V.

We have 240 system with a 12v pump and we run it through a battery charger which acts as an inverter, works fine.

Buy a  240 v pump,probably cost the same as a transformer.
