Landing at Castellon Airport

Print Post
After almost two years since the opening of Castellon Airport,
a Beechcraft -350 plane landed there, this morning, on a calibration flight.
Wonder if the flags went up there, after all this time, and money spent there!

It says here

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/spain/9084202/Castellon-airport...

that the runway is to be torn up as it is too narrow for commercial operations...... and....50m euros has been spent on publicising the airport and its facilities.

And so the saga continues?
When this was all planned it stated that
the runway would be 2,700 metres long and 45 metres wide.
Lots of space would be left after all buildings etc. completed, as it stands in  542.3 hectares?

Have read today, that Generalitat Valencia have granted an extension date for sale of the airport to end of March now.
