Interesting article but some of it is lost in translation, maybe somebody familiar with property issues could give their interpretation of the article.  Smiley

Will this replace the current 3 sizes of build allowed, depending on area of land ?
If so,it would appear to be another retrospective planning law brought in to make all property owned by extranjerous illegal !
Cataloonier seems to make the rules up to suit their situation just as they please, good job they are not part of the EU,as this would surely be illegal and discriminatory ?

The article talks about " less than two hectares " does it mean that this proposed law relates to land less than two Ha only? Is it soething else for above two Ha?

I thought Spain ( Catalonia ) was part of the EU.  If not someone has the bearings wrong.

No doubt there Skibob, the question on EU membership may arise if Catalonia were to achieve independence from Spain.I believe they would then need to apply to the EU for membership as a Sovereign State. At this present time i also believe both the current Governments of Spain & the UK may well vote against any membership application from Catalonia.
