Hi,
There is a small opticians across from the hospital in Ferries next to a shop selling baby items ( don't know if you'd need this shop ) He spoke English and was very helpful.

Really good optician, in village of Jesus, near Tortosa.
He speaks English, and is very helpful.
Near the Ajuntament, with lots of parking there.

That's interesting, Nigel, as whenever I've asked they've told me free if you buy the glasses there, otherwise 25 or more Euros.  Is there some reg we can quote them if they say free only with purchase?

You can get them done free through your Doctor.
He/She will refer you to a hospital for an appointment.

I have used Federoptics Boldu in Tortosa for years http://www.opticaboldu.com/

They are very good, better equipped than the hospital and the optician speaks English
