Can anyone please tell me how easy, or hard, it is to change the driving licence?.  Bearing in mind my very limited Spanish and non existent Catalan.

Thanks for the reply Dusty.  WE came here for an easier life after all so we will have to find a good English speaking Gestor nearer home in the delta. We won't rush though, our UK licences are in date for quite a while yet and they are both EU type photo card licenses anyway.

I changed my licence myself at the Jefatura Provincial de Trafico in Tarragona two years ago..  First I checked on the internet what I needed and then found the process very easy.  They even have a department dealing only with changing foreign licences for Spanish ones. As Tony, I was given a temporary one until my final licence came through, about 2 months later.  They even respected the expiry date on my British license instead of giving me an expiry date of 5 years in the future which is usual for Spanish licences (unless it has been changed).
