Anyone with an account with Bankia (Caja Madrid as it was known) should be aware that the Tortosa office will be closing in November.

The nearest offices will be in Vinaros and Tarragona. This is due to a Brussels ruling on the restructuring of the bank.

It's not known yet if the bank will retain a cashpoint in Tortosa or not.

Internet and telephone banking will not be affected but anyone needing services of the banking staff will need to travel to either Vinaros or Tarragona.
