Amazon has launched a new service in Spain,
allowing customers to collect parcels at any of 1,200 pick up points in the country.

Great!  Thanks for that, very useful information.  There's a pick-up point in L'Ametlla Smiley

There appear to be two collection points in Tortosa, one in Amposta and one in Deltebre.  We're lucky that the delivery company leave any parcels at our local bar if we're not in.

Have Amazon delivered happily to PO Box numbers before?  If so I don't suppose that will change.

Amazon.es usually uses a courier service like MRW or SEUR for their deliveries, I've never had anything delivered via the post office before.

We have, a few times, but they were from companies selling through Amazon.es and not from an Amazon warehouse.

Is there a list of pickup points on line anywhere ?  I looked on Amazon but it didn't recognise the post code.
A couple of years ago I emailed IKEA and suggested they set up a collection depot near here (being half way between Barcelona and Valencia).
Their reply was less than helpful  Angry

Go into your Amazon.es account and follow:
Mi cuenta > Gestionar direcciones y Configuración 1-Clic >
Añadir otra dirección

Choose the third option 'Buscar por punto de interés' and put in, for instance Tortosa it will give you a list of four available collection points. One in Tortosa, one in L'Aldea, one in Amposta and one in Deltebre.  If you put in L'Ametlla de Mar it will give you two, one in the town and one in Miami Platja

I have just bought something from Amazon.es and when I tried to add the pick-up point at Ametlla de Mar, I was told that the product I ordered could not be sent to the pick-up point.  I have no idea why as it's not big and bulky.  Very disappointed with that!   Sad

Possibly it might depend on whether or not the item was being bought direct from Amazon.es  or one of their sellers, just guessing though.  Amazon UK will send stuff to Spain but a lot of their sellers won't.
