Hi,
I wonder if anyone can recommend a great garden centre locally please. (L'Aldea or surrounding areas)
We used to use a fantastic but shabby place near Alcover but now we have moved we don't know where to go!
Thanks in anticipation  Cheesy

El Mola near El,Perello, has plenty of choice there.
Some nurseries specialise in certain things, so depends what you are looking for, trees, fruit trees etc.
Sol Ebre, in Tortosa have a wide range of shrubs, trees, plants, vegetable plants etc. at the moment.
Good place for buying tools, compost, and chemicals too.

If you are looking for plants to pot up on your patio/pool etc then If you drive on the roundabout going past the new Lidl in Deltebre go straight on past Maxi Ds towards Mucky Donnas on the right a couple of hundred yards from the Maxi D roundabout before the first Chinese shop on the left, You will see a large number of stalls just inside a fence,Next to a tyre place. You can not miss the plants. Not a huge selection but very very nice quality I bought some the other day and the were fantastic geraniums etc.

39 Avinguda Goles de l'Ebre, Deltebre, Catalonia, Spain is the address.

This is a rough map but if you go to street view you can see the empty space next to the tyre depot The flowers are there. copy paste the above into directions then see street view and it will give you a minds eye re directions.

Hi if you travel from L aldea towards Vinaros on the N340 there are three very good garden Centres on your right.
The first just before the Alcanar exit. The second 2 mins further up the N340 Dalmau very friendly the Lady speaks English by the exit for Vinaros por las Costa ( also you will see the new roundabout being constructed for the A7) The third Vostres Vivers again on the N340 just before Simply and Lidl at the main exit for the AP7 and Vinaros opposite camping vinaros.

Yes, Dalmau very good.  Also check out Iberplant on the left (N340) about 1Km past Amposta going south.

Dalmau !+1 +1 +1

El Mola is v. expensive and has really very poor quality shrubs.  If the Dutch trailer has just been through then they have a wider than adverage choice of labeled plants (thus - specific variaties other than 'rosa groc'. !!!  Go south young man, go south.  Down the N340 as per previous post for a decent choice of good quality plants and shrubs at reasonable prices..    What types are you after??????

have to disagree with previous post, we have been buying from El Moli the past 5 years and the quality has been consistently good, prices ok with good varieties available. Tried nearly all centres in the area and found variable results.  I think you have to accept that you need to shop around for different plant types.

Most garden centres  around here don't grow from seed, so 'the Dutch trailer' mentioned, delivers the young plants in plugs, to be grown on anyway.

El Mola is our local garden centre and we have always been very pleased with what we have bought there.  Very friendly and helpful staff too.

Try this one for organic plants.    http://plantersestorach.es/en/
They have a shop near Herraiz  and a larger garden centre in Campredo.   Instructions on how to get there on the website.

Just visited Dalmau and the lady commented on the British people visiting recently and how she will be pleased to help
and offer advice any time her English is good. Lovely selection of plants etc and very reasonable once again.
