Thanks to some good people of Xerta 6 4 to 5 week old pups were rescued from the river last week.Arca is overflowing and puppy desease pavo is rife. 3 have now been homed one is sleeping on my sofa as I type. The people that do this need to be prosecuted, if you know of anyone with a beagle type bitch that gave birth and the pups disappeated please come forward. It seems that among some of the older generation this is the norm but I for one find this barbaric.

I agree with you, and wonder why some people keep animals, in the first place.
Here they don't believe in getting them neutered, castrated, spayed etc. so just let them keep breeding, time after time.
Then the young animals are drowned, dumped, or whatever.
When is this ever going to stop?

We know the feeling well.
A neighbours cat had four kittens, on a spare piece of ground, then she bought them up to our garden, and hid them in shrubs.
We ended up paying to get four operated on, as I didn't want to end up with numerous cats!
We already have two old cats, anyway.
