The English Shop in l`Aldea

Does anybody know if the English shop in l`Aldea has closed. We went there before Christmas it was`nt open, but not sure if that was just for the holiday.  I have tried ringing, but no response.  Would be grateful if anybody knows anything about this as we are desperate to buy English tea bags.  Unless, of course, you know of anywhere else that we can buy them.  Also we are looking to buy logs - any suggestions ?

Thanks

The supermarkets tend to do English tea bags as do the shops in the centre of Tortosa run by the Pakistani or Indian community.  I tend to buy them in UK and stuff a few packs in a suitcase if there's room.

There are usually places that sell logs in any area - where are you?  Just keep your eyes peeled for little posters stuck to telegraph posts.  Prices vary depending on what wood you want and what sort of quantity you require.

PS  Are you actually from Fleetwood?

Thank you Michael for your prompt reply.  Like you when going back to England we stock up with tea bags, but have`nt been back for a while.  Will try the supermarkets here.  We live just outside of Tortosa, just past Raval de Christ.

No we`re not from Fleetwood - it used to be my surname before we got married - my husband is into Fleetwood Mac has all their records or should should I say CDs

We do keep our eyes open for signs where there are logs for sale, but as yet have`nt seen any and now the weather has got colder we do need to light our log burner earlier than usual, so we are  running out of logs quickly

Many thanks

There was a post on Dec. 5th. under Whats going on section,  stating  that the Corner Shop was closing.
Sorry that the coloured ad. for the shop is still on the Forum and showing the address in L' Aldea!  I informed Nigel about this a few weeks ago.
Lisa & Darren can be contacted via the Station Bar, L' Ampolla. They have a list of foods, which you can order from them.
As for logs, their is a sign on a property advertising them,  just along from the Bombers opposite Simply in Tortosa.
