Motorhome passed the ITV this morning and paperwork for the next stage will be ready a week on Monday, suggest if anyone has to go through this procedure that August is a bad month to do it if you need repairs, most garages are closed so getting spare parts took longer than expected, however, the ITV centre took this into consideration and did  not charge a retest fee despite the fact that it was over the 14 days.  Spanish service is fantastic! Fantastic news. motorhome has now been fully transferred onto Spanish Registration.  For those that have been following this my first advice is never begin anything that involves doing things in August, well not in Amposta as everything closes down.  During the process of going through the ITV it was discovered that the rear brakes were not up to par so we had to wait for spare parts to get it through and this being in August took longer than expected, apart from that the process is simple.  The gas certificate was obtained from the place in Amposta that provides the gas bottles and only took about half an hour, a local electrician done the electric certificate which is the same as getting one for your home and took ages, well it had to be stamped up in two different offices but when those are obtained then it is off to the ITV, they take copies of everything including photographs, we had obtained paperwork for the motorhome in Spanish which gave details of the size, shape and layout including the engine details, on passing the itv the paperwork was then taken to the necessary office and import duty paid (all of about 250 euros!!!!), then stamped up, registration documents issued and then off to a local supplies for the number plates, of course obtaining insurance via a Spanish insurance company, looking forward to getting out and about and here's hoping there is many years left in her.  It is well worth doing and getting the right man to do the job so thanks for recommendation via the forum.
