I have just been to Brussels for the weekend using vueling.
When I went to sit in my seat (unfortunately the centre of three seats) I didn't fit.
My legs are too long.
This is what they stated when I complained
Quote,Hi Steve, sorry if you travelled in discomfort, we inform you the minimum dimensions of our aircraft seats are as follows:
• 28 inches, about 71 cm: distance from the back of a seat to the back of the seat in front
• 17.5 inches, about 44 cm: distance between armrests
Regards unquote
This includes the thickness of the actual seat. About 4 inches.
I need a minimum of 26 1/2 inches to fit my legs in if I sit bolt upright. The seatbelt sign was on for most of the journey as it was very windy, so I couldn't even walk about. Also the flight was full, so no using a different seat.
I shall never use them again. So if you are of average height (6'4'') or more, be aware
Ps I have no problem using Ryanair or easy-jet
Rant over

Vueling operates Airbus 320-200 most of which have 180 seats, but later deliveries have 186 seats.  You may have got one of these later ones.  Ryanair operate Boeing 737-800s with 189 seats but are launch customers for the B 737 -MAX which has 197 seats.  The MAX will  be the next generation of acft delivers, more seats, less fuel, lower operating costs.  Google if you're interested.

Well, it's a budget airline...... But Veuling (and all the others too) have xl-seats for 10-20 euro's more. Well worth the money for someone like me (202 cm).

Good luck, Mark
