UK discount chain Poundland has opened outlets across Spain stocking well-known British brands under their "everything for €1.50" slogan.
Named Dealz, the Spanish franchise marked the first expansion by Poundland into continental Europe.

I now live on the Costa Blanca nr Alicante. Dealz ( poundland ) has been in Alicante for 18 months now. Its great for all your toiletries, cleaning and washing products, food, toys, stationary, and lots and lots of British chocolates and sweets.  most items 1.50e, but some things are 3 for 1.50, and they stock higher priced items as well. The shop attracts plenty of Spanish shoppers, and they often stop me and ask what the product in the packet or tin actually is. They are certainly embracing poundland here in Alicante.
