This is my personal opinion.
If it's upsets anyone then sorry.
I to think it's disgusting that people sacrificed lives and more
To keep foreign invaders out,and look at it now.
I don't blame people from Poland,Romania, syria ,Iraq etc coming
To the UK,as most of their lives must have been terrible living conditions
For their children.the prospect of someone dangling a carrot in front
Of them,ie coming to the UK and claiming all the benefits they could,
Is I am afraid human nature.
A lot of them , single men ,rent places and live 6plus to a place ,
Earn money, split the bills and send money home to support
Their families.
The UK worker next door with his mortgage etc etc with 2.3 kids what
Chance has he got ,he is bound to get the hump.
A lot of the immigrants work for a lot less, than the UK worker needs,
So some employers have employed cheap workers ,made
More money or cut costs to compete with everyone else.
I did read somewhere ,where a small factory had made all the
UK workers redundant and taken on cheap workers for less money,
Hence the UK worker again has no chance.
As I said I don't blame the immigrants wanting a better life,
Or taking advantage of the benefit system however unjust or unfair
It would be.
I am no politician or genius, but I think the damage is done!
BUT I do blame the EU and the UK government for the mess
That the UK is in,and the blame must surely be
Placed on their shoulders.
But how they clear up the mess ,well that's another story
And a long long way off yet.
Anyway time for some zzzs
Night all

I never voted when we entered the E.U. as I was a serving soldier on active service.  WWII was not the conflict to which I refered and as to people being able to afford private medical insurance, if they can't afford it then they are free to use the N.H.S. or just pay the going rates to speak with a G.P. at the time required.

What rights would British expats have under international law?

Asked what would happen to expats in the event of Brexit, a Leave.EU spokesman said: “Expats rights will be grandfathered due to the Vienna Convention.”

The Vienna Convention of 1969 states that people keep the rights that they once exercised under a treaty, even if that treaty is later terminated.

Therefore expats in Europe would retain their “acquired right” to stay there, but it would not apply to people who move abroad in the future.

Mr Smith said that these “acquired rights” include British expats’ rights to live in another country and own property there.

But he said: “They are quite basic. The rights do not cover healthcare or benefits. That is the legal view of the legal profession.”

I was talking about British pensioners living over here in Spain as economic migrants, because it's cheaper here and their pension pound goes further.  They have been getting free health care in Spain as part of reciprocal health care arrangements amongst EU partners.  That will stop when the UK leaves the EU and the people who are getting free health care here will have to start paying.  Unless of course Britain agrees as part of the deal to continue to offer free healthcare to the European 'invaders', but I don't think it would be a very popular move amongst the 'Leavers'.

This doesn't upset me in the slightest, but you seriously cannot expect anyone to respect an opinion that is based on lies, supposition and scaremongering.

Describing immigrants as 'invaders' that need to be got rid of is exactly the kind of language that has set off so much racist abuse against Polish children, for instance, in the UK, handing them cards saying they would be deported for heaven's sake.  There was a German woman on LBC a few days ago who was weeping with fear because her neighbours had told her that she had been 'voted out' and she had two weeks to leave, they had put dog excrement through her door.  She is in her seventies and has lived in the UK for 48 years with her British husband who had recently died.

Personally I think that people who invoke the war dead to put their opinion across are disgusting too.  My grandparents took in refugees during ww2, and they are who I learned my compassion from.  I am so ashamed to be British these days.  I am remaining here and European.

Dear pondgirl,
I certainly didn't invoke the people that served in the
War,the complete opposite ,I think that
Soldiers past and present who served their country
Are hero's and I for one have enormous respect for them.
But if you think that's disgusting so be it.
Thanks.
Invoke means.
As a witness,, inspiration, in support of argument.
Thanks.

I think you might have misunderstood the word invoke.

I am sad to hear about the racially abuse being
Dished out to certain cultures in the uk ,and towards
Children,its not called for .
There is also no need for the fear factor of
Saying to people you are out of the EU ,so out of the uk
Or out of anywhere else
We are still in the EU for the time being ,and I hope
That when the powers that be ,sit down and talk and I hope
From the bottom of my heart common sense prevails
Where  everybody can live in place of happiness
And a sense of fairness,i try to look
At things from everyone's point of view

I have two children here and obviously myself,
We have been more than welcome in to village life.
I would not  like my children  or anybody else to hear
These comments.
Best wishes to all.
