Paperwork .

Can anyone offer some advice on paperwork in Spanish or Catalan.
If you go to pick up an item from repair and you obviously
Need the item back ,and you  are presented with paperwork to
Sign ,and you don't understand it,where do you stand,as somewhere
In the paperwork it might say you have to pay dot amount by a certain date,
Or other agendas you are not aware of.
1/it's not always possible to take someone
With you to translate.
2/do you take the persons word and trust them ?emmmmm
3/or I am more inclined to write if you are allowed don't understand,
Is that acceptable
Many thanks .

Well that sounds a bit tricky...what are you picking up after repair...and why don't you trust what you are being told??

If in doubt, then I would suggest...
A) don't sign until you get it translated
Or
B) Sign it and add 'without prejudice and with no liability for any further payment'...or words to that effect.

Good luck!
