Iberbanda shutting down their internet

Iberbanda is closing down. If you have their internet service then you will need to change supplier.

Movistar (who own them) are calling customers to see if they want to migrate to their 3G or 4G system (if there is coverage). If not then you will need to find a new supplier.

Reluctant to go with Movistar Radio, no signal for Eurona, Ebrecom, Ebretic, NetPorts. Delinternet has a poor signal despite line of vision to Sant Jaume so won't install, so only solution is Quantis satelite unless anybody has an alternative?
Thanks Paul

We live in a valley and cannot see any transmitters so Nigel to installed Eurona satellite for me and I have, on the whole, been very satisfied with the results.  Have heard moans about the Quantis system.

The old Quantis system was rubbish. Eurona bought out Quantis and now install a system provided by Avanti under the banner of Quantis. This seems a pretty good service, I've installed a few.

Installation is 49 euros with a free WiFi router, the equipment is also free. For unlimited use it is just under 55 euros a month. All prices inclusive of IVA.

Contact me if interested!

Paul, I thought you had service from Delinternet that came from the 'Castle' - I thought this worked well in your valley, is this not the case?

The technician said the signal was poor and would mean problems, where is the Castle? Maybe it's just our location.
Would 4g en casa be a solution? My phone signal shows H. I see Eurona offer a free 5 day trial, I'll call you later.

Not quite true. Eurona have 3 different systems running and one of them is causing problems with 4G so they are shutting it down. It is the one that has a square flat aerial mounted in a diamond position.

They are moving people with this system onto either 4G (if they are near enough to a repeater, maximum distance appears to be around 5.5Km from the repeater) or onto one of their other technologies that doesn't cause interference. They are also providing Movistar 4G in areas where none of the other options is available.

Worst case is move to satellite internet or a different company.

The 4G is ok where there is coverage. There are 2 options, indoor (no installation needed) or outdoor (must be installed by a technico..me for example). I've installed a few and so far they seem to work well.
