Today whilst driving back from Barcelona on the motorway, we heard a car coming up right along side of us, horn blaring and lots of shouting.  They cut across in front of us shouting (in English) "your tyre, your tyre!!"  and tried to push us across onto the hard shoulder. Luckily we had heard of this particular scam (maybe on this very forum!) and did not stop.  Apparently what happens is you pull up and they pull up in front, then they offer to help fix the tyre (perhaps after puncturing it themselves?) and then grab your belongings and drive off.

We were obviously a "soft" target..GB sticker and GB plates.

They were in a dark coloured BMW, but didn't get the reg.

So be careful out there folks...best not pull up for anybody unless you know them or they have "policia" written up the side.
