Are there any places around Tortosa to get a car serviced or repaired without going to a main agent? I have noted that there is an advert on the forum for Miquel(English speaking, that helps) at Roquetes, has anyone had anything done there?

As it happens we have just had both our cars fixed by him, fetching the second one back this morning.  Seems a decent chap, it was a lot of money, but I think all car parts over here are more expensive.
Very helpful, and speaks good English...he has about 40 English clients he said....!!  Definately an advantage speaking another language eh...??
If you need directions send us a message

Hi.  We also use Miguel, and in my opnionion the charge was not excessive compared with what I have paid in england for the same service.  He also arranged our transfer to Spanish plates, and whilst maybe more expense than doing it ourselves I did not have to worry about trying to arrange the whole operation in my poor Spanish or having to go to Tarragona. Interestingly, the car sailed through the ITV whereas in Egland I would probably have had to have a new everything - the beauty being that the ITV is done by someone who does not run a garage business and is interested in supplying everything that you would require to achieve a pass !!

Fair play to the guy,if he does a good job, speaks English and has 40 foreign customers....he must be doing something right.

Nobrot, as I have not used him yet, I am not in a position to praise or knock him or give my views, that is why I wanted other peoples, but, out of curiosity, has anyone used anybody else local and with what results??

Maybe I'm missing something somewhere T&S, what is wrong with my first statement of enquiry?? There must be more than one firm of motor mechanics in a town of 55 to 60,000 people that individuals can comment on.
