England's Population Set To Grow

England is set to become the most crowded country in Europe, according to official projections.

Experts forecast the country's population will grow by a third over the next half century.

The current figure of 50 million residents is expected to rise to 68 million by 2056.

The increase would take the population density 1,349 for every square mile (currently, it is around 1,010).

In London, the figure could rise from 12,377 to 13,910 over the next 20 years.
