The Autonomous Police have broken up a very active band of thieves specializing in burglary at home with the arrest of five Romanians who are credited with a score of burglaries in houses and farms of Catalonia.

The investigation began in late July after the Mossos support the claim that following several reports of robberies could have an organized group dedicated to commit such crimes, and entered its crucial phase following the arrest of five men in Tortosa, Roquetes and Vilafranca del Penedès and registration of five homes in Tortosa, Roquetes and Alcover.

The thieves sent home most of the objects they stole these searches, agents recovered a large quantity of jewelry, two motorbikes, credit cards, GPS, computers, televisions, cameras and generators.

The band was raiding building family houses and farms whose owners were away. Police charged him more than two dozen burglaries, especially in Terres de l'Ebre and Solsonès. The investigation revealed that thieves sent home most of the stolen objects, through an aide who worked in the passenger transport route covering Catalunya-Romania.

The band was led by NN But that was who ordered the robbery and that he entered prison in Germany a couple of weeks ago. This individual was arrested for reasons other than research, when he traveled to Germany.

The group was perfectly nested and each of its members developed a particular function: while some committed the robbery, other controlled and monitored assaulted near the floor. Those arrested, while not working, had a high standard of living that is coasting with the robberies they committed.

Three of those arrested and were sent to prison by order of the magistrate No. 1 Solsona, while the other two were released with charges. The investigation remains open and more arrests are not ruled out.
