Anyone had any experience with the Jobsworth at the Local ITV centre?

I believe his main love is english tow bars, but he also likes non standard tyres

I wonder what he would make of this one?

Anyone else had any experiences?

Me too.  At worst they can appear a little impatient at one's inability to understand their instructions but that's down to us.

Have to agree with Bigyin and Bruixot, never a problem very helpful. Going to metriculate a Citreon C4 soon with a tow bar had it fitted bi the Manufacturer in UK  have bill of sale with proof of fitting expect no problems, as for tyres if they are not  the correct specification for your vehicle the should rightly fail, I have a combi Peugeot Partner which has a 750 kg load capacity thus needs correctly rated load ply tyres twice the price of normal car tyres  of same size.

Guess towbar fitment by jack the lad and budget secondhand  tyres from Estolavia  measure up for HZN but not for Jobsworth at the ITV station, thank god for Jobsworth

Guess owning and running a MOT station in UK makes me qualified to post on this , a safe car is what most people want to travel in ?

WoO back to sleep. Wink

Hi Tony

Would normally agree with you Tony but I didn't take the car in!!

And it wasn't an english tow bar it was spanish, and it was fitted at an official dealership, but still it needed a homologation certificate!!

And how does an english tow bar make a car Unsafe anyway?

Well I am surprised,That you all had good experiences at The ITV!!

And I am very happy for you all!!

It just came as a shock to me after so many english people had warned me about the ITV and  said that they had to remove their english tow bars before they could get an ITV, as the Spanish sorry Catalans don't recognise anything other than Spanish Made tow bars(what a surprise)

Still it must have all been rumours then!!

Or people are too frightened to relate their experiences
