Just received a letter informing me that from the 1st October I will no longer have to pay for my CatSalut ....as the law has changed, and it is now being provided for free!

Fantastic - but I am sure there is a 'but' somewhere.

Anybody know any more?

50 this summer - but do not think that it is it.

The letter mentions a change in the law - in that (bad translation) everyone can access equally the health services for free.

I suspect however that there is or will be a hoop or two to jump through in order to qualify - probably the elusive cedula

I too received one of these letters and at a mere 49 can't put it down to a milestone birthday!  Likewise I'm looking for the catch.  How does a cash strapped country in 'crisis' afford this?  I will investigate further.  If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is!
