We were adopted by a 6 week old kitten 2 weeks ago....he has had his check up from the vet and,not putting to fine a point on it,was a touch untidy around the back end.Vet suggested keeping him on dried food as apposed to the dried and meat mix,we did that,he is still very squitty.Does anyone have any suggestions....

Hi. Think you'll find dry food is a bit too rich for a kitten, sounds like he/she may have a stomach bug, try plain chicken, boiled.
Was it a stray, what test did the vet do.
Terry.

Hope Kitty gets better, but its a pain when they get the runs especially a Campo cat that doesn't know what litter trays are!!

Thanks for that.

When we took him to the vets he just gave him a good looking at but no tests. He mentioned not to give him tinned meat or fish as he would get used to it and in the summer it would go off in the heat so keep him on dry.

We will however try him on the chicken tomorrow. Poor thing has not had anything to eat at all today, he just turns his nose up and for a kitten who pinches food off the dogs, that is not right.

The further saga of Squitty Bob.....
Apparently he was being poisoned,by us.We had bought a black flea collar for him and it was to strong for the age of the kitten. We had thought he was about 3 months old when in fact he was, according to the vet,4-5 weeks old.
He was on deaths door for the past 2 days and we rushed him to the vets this morning. The next 3 days should tell.fingers crossed.
