We've been using the Expat Shield website to let us watch iPlayer in Spain but it is now giving out US addresses so the iPlayer rejects us now. BooHoo. Anyone know of any other way to watch iPlayer out here?

Not being cheeky but why do you need iPlayer ?  Do you have satellite TV ?

iPlayer allows you to watch programmes that you may have missed due to being on late or because you want to watch two things on at the same time!!

I realise that Stu but I was going to suggest that a simpler (though more expensive) solution would be a dual input receiver with a recorder (DVR).  I agree that it's annoying not being able to get iPlayer here easily but personally, I wouldn't want to be watching whole programs on my PC.
